A once great cricketer and a great man is now just a 'once great cricketer'. Oh how the mighty fall. He was the nation's hero and idol, now he seems to be dancing to the tune of his sponsors. So sad...

 Tendulkar has been the most ‘pamper’ed and well-padded child of our beloved nation. No two opinions that he is great, but the way he is being portrayed asTHE GOD, much much larger than (even God’s) life, is unbelievable and, therefore unacceptable. The way the media and especially the electronic media went talking about his hundred centuries being the greatest contribution to Indian cricket etc. etc., makes one wonder whether others who slogged hard and brought home victory in at times hopeless and critical situations, were not Gods of cricket?
But talking like this is as good as making a fool of your-self. Either you are considered as one who does not understand cricket or one who criticises the ‘pamper’ed-one- in-question just for the sake of it.
It will take many years; hundred or so, for the history of cricket to cross examine his career and pass a judgment on it… that he played for himself, for his sponsors, for his endorsements…. and when free from all these pecuniary commitments, played for OUR nation!
